Yes, that’s right. This all comes back to religion. This is about abortion, people. This is about a bunch of delusional pro-lifers so blind in their faith that they can’t even properly interpret the artificial will of an imaginary lawmaker in the sky.
Here in America, only the creepy Jesus freaks think their religious doctrine supercedes a woman’s reproductive rights, and now that they can’t openly legislate their way into your uterus, they’re gonna find whatever bureaucratic back door they can to defund and dismantle the safe and legal family planning services that currently exist.
See, she could totally clean up her act, stop looking like she rolled around in a dumpster full of glitter and be a real class act! I actually quite enjoy this song!
She sounds fine, but there are tons of women in rock music that sound like this. Had she gone with this sound, she in all likelihood may not even have gotten a record deal. Sure, the stuff you hear on the radio is dumb as whatever, but it’s what sells. I wouldn’t be surprised, though, if in five or so years (after she’s racked up enough industry cash) she decided to go with something like this that’s more, well, basic.
“It is difficult to understand why people who say they are opposed to abortion would do so much to undermine the family planning and contraception that helps prevent the need for it.”—Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood (via ladymacbeth- and ohmymadeline)
“During this week’s blizzard, Chicago got 20.2 inches of snow—making it the third largest snowstorm in city history. But even though Chicago Public Schools closed for snow days for the first time in 12 years, many school buildings remained open in case hungry students showed up looking for a meal. Even with impassable roads and temperatures below zero, the need in Chicago is real. Of the district’s 409,000 students, 86 percent come from low-income backgrounds and qualify to receive free meals.”—
holy shit this is awesome. I was directed here by a flowchart of Total Eclipse of the Heart my friend found. This is a sweet blog, and also I have been spending 90% of my time at work running scripts in photoshop while browsing the internet and this design is giving me a mind trip.
just wanted to say hey because I noticed you are Boston-based and I live outside of it.
Aw, thank you!
I actually live outside of Boston too. But, like, way outside. Like in the midwest. I recently moved to Chicago, is what I’m trying to say.
